Heart Nexus

 Heart Nexus

Bellus - Anastasia Heublein

The craving for the enlightening
Answers of questions I am seeking

Like a gateway our paths crossed
One for salvation, other for destruction.
A heart witnessing you has stopped,
Yet the hours has passed.

As the earth beneath us welcomed,
We were like children under the sun.
Thus I've mistaken your wings,
To avoid the horror brought by the springs.

I had to ask, was I alone then,
When we held hands in our den?
The smile that heathens up our hearts,
    that brings children to light,
    that melts the shadow curtain
was a craving I fathomed,
thus fastened.

Heart's craving is to be many,
yet you appeared to give any.
A hand and an eye to a heart,
Did a lover have to be torn apart?

When the sun left, bleaching your wings,
A darkness shroud surrounds us.
The nexus that held together the things,
Concusses, exposing the vein and pus.

The beating heart, now disconnected,
Thus left the nexus neglected.
But the choir you have silenced,
Always prayed within me.
Now I ask thy, why have you?
Yet for a man to know his answer
to be in an eternal tomb
Is engraving his name.
