Rejuvenation
Rejuvenation

"The Rape of Proserpina" by Gian Lorenzo Bernini

A vessel long
shattered,
A mind long tethered,
The hanged man seeks
no blood,
For thy eyes he is a
mere man.
Like veins, we shall
meet,
Yet, corruption within
a seed.
Long dead heart, a plausible
act,
Life essence is
nothing but abstract.
Hollow eyes, the devil’s
eyes,
The cold hungers, the
man dies.
Stare into void in
gladness,
If void stares back,
descend into madness.
O’ high priestess,
coalescence,
For merely you two are
one.
Rejuvenate and spare
your breath,
Shall you witness his
death.
To rejuvenate by thy
hand,
Is to meet God, grand.
If the final curtain
were to fall,
Then all blood, a
desperate call.
Who would dare to cut
the Black Hand?
